Cartier Watch
Cartier is a renowned French luxury jewelry and watch brand with a storied history dating back to 1847, when it was founded by Louis-François Cartier in Paris. Originally a small workshop creating jewelry for select clients, Cartier quickly became known for its craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless artistic designs.
After Louis-François’s death in 1888, his three sons—Louis, Pierre, and Jacques—expanded the business internationally, opening boutiques in London (1902) and New York City (1909), establishing Cartier as a global luxury brand. The company was also one of the early pioneers of men’s wristwatches, creating the iconic “Santos” in 1911 for Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. Later, legendary lines such as the “Tank” and “Pasha” further solidified its reputation.
Cartier gained prestige by serving royalty and celebrities, including King Edward VII, Queen Alexandra, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, and numerous Hollywood stars. This association helped cement Cartier as a symbol of refinement, elegance, and luxury.
Today, Cartier maintains its status as one of the world’s most iconic luxury brands, with boutiques in major cities including Paris, New York, London, Tokyo, and Shanghai. Its enduring legacy is defined by exceptional craftsmanship, creativity, and timeless designs that continue to captivate discerning clients worldwide.
